About Judge Jack Dávila

Judge Jack Dávila currently serves in Branch One of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. He was appointed to the bench in April of 2020 by Governor Tony Evers.

He works hard every single day to ensure that everyone who enters the courtroom, regardless of who they are or where they are from, is treated with dignity and respect. 

Prior to serving on the bench, Judge Dávila represented workers, injured persons, and people with disabilities throughout Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from Marquette University Law School. After college, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for four years as a Spanish linguist non-commissioned officer. 

Judge Dávila is a past president and board member of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association. He also served as a consultant attorney to the Mexican Consulate in Milwaukee, on the board of Voces de la Frontera, and volunteered his time at the Voces de la Frontera Legal Clinic and the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic. He resides on Milwaukee’s East Side with his family.
